President – Vani and Venu Baliga

We have been part of KASC from 2014. KASC is like our extended family. 
We both along with our lovely daughters love traveling to new places, trying out different foods, beaches and hikes.

Our daughters Veda and Varsha enjoy dance, music and drama. They always try to showcase their talent in KASC events.

 

 

 



Vice President – Priya and Karthik  Gadiyar

We have been a part of KASC since 2014 and feel like we have made a lot of connections through the association. Our hobbies include dancing, reading, quizzing and traveling.

Our daughter Trisha was born in 2017. We have been part of the committee as Cultural coordinator from 2015-2017 before.

 

 

 

 


Social Media – Gautham Shenoy

I have been a part of KASC since 2016 and I really enjoy my time with my fellow Konkanis. In my free time, I love exploring the beautiful deserts of California on my Harley Davidson. Hopefully, a full US tour on my motorcycle will happen soon.

I am a practicing Vedantist and I love watching a LOT of documentaries. My parents and I are very close and I am particularly glad that they have been able to partake in KASC activities whenever they visit. Thank you everyone for your friendship and camaraderie.


Treasurer – Lata and Bharath Prabhu

We have been part of the KASC family since last 5 years(2014). Through KASC, we got to know many Konkani people in and around Los Angeles area. 
Bharat is from Sagar( Karnataka) is a Mechanical engineer by degree, and working in I.T . Latha is an Architect from MIT Manipal. Bharat likes playing Cricket, Badminton,& Tennis.He is also passionate about cooking, and has taken part in many cooking competitions, and has many prizes in his kitty! Latha’s passion is dance (a real maniac), travel, fitness and Bollywood movies.
We along with 11 year old son (Daksh),and beautiful two year old daughter (Sia) like exploring new restaurants, attractions, and nature. Daksh is an energetic performer during KASC events.
Our family always look forward for all the KASC events and we don’t really miss any because we feel connected with Konkani friends and their families.


Cultural Secretary – Pavitra and Chandan pai

We have been part of the KASC  group from October 2018. We look forward to every event of the KASC group since it is a great forum to interact with Konkani speaking diaspora and the events also have a lot of fun activities.

Every member of the group is very interactive and jovial which creates a very light atmosphere during the events. Icing on the cake is the potluck in some of the events where we get to taste delicious Konkani food. 

 

 

 


Webmaster – Shashikala and Nataraj Nayak

Nataraj is from Karkala and Shashikala from Moodabidri.  We got introduced to KASC in 2005 by Baliga maam.  We live in the beautiful city of Burbank and keep ourselves busy with many activities at home and community.  Our two daughters are Archini (13), who just started producing her own music and Chinmayi (7), who keeps us always busy.  

Nataraj is in IT and is a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher.  He is a devoted volunteer at Sri Krishna temple since its beginning.  His interests are traditional Indian music and gardening.

Shashikala is a website developer and a certified healer of ‘Sat Nam Rasayan’, an ancient art of meditative healing  originated from India.  She also volunteers in schools and senior centers.  She loves parks, walking, travelling and likes to explore new things.  She practices contemplation and meditation every day.

kasc.org was conceived, designed, developed, and maintained by Nataraj and Shashikala.  Archini also helped them in compiling articles and pictures.


Editor – Jyoti and Vivek Ullal

They live in Simi Valley. They have been writing and compiling from many sources, the KASC Newsletter. They are glad to provide news, articles, reviews, about individuals, families and events articles related to the Konkanis in Southern California for the last two decades.

Vivek is a physician by profession and a music lover. He plays flute, harmonium, tabla, harmonica and piano accordion. They have grown up kids, son  Ajay, a physician and his wife Meera, a clinical psychologist, and daughter Seema, a software engineer.
