Khichidi(Sweet Konkani style)

Khichidi: by Mohini kamath

1/2 cup Chanadal

1/2 cup craked wheat

1 cup granulated sugar

1 and 1/4  cup grated coconut

Cashew pieces

Cardmom powder.

Roast Chana da on a low fame till it smells.Boil it(dal) till soft  not too soft.

Add sugar.. When it is sort of watery add coconut,raisins cashews, cardmom(pwd) add 2T or 3 T ghee.

Turn the flame.It should be not too thick. When it cools it will be just right.

Left over  you  can freeze and warm it up for each use.

Goes well with  our type dosa (urd and rice)
